I spent 7 days with Acrospirit for their 50h training, and it was life-changing. The program was intense yet well-balanced, offering time to both push myself and rest. We covered everything from basic plank/bird to more advanced moves like ninja/bat star, all in a perfectly sequenced progression.

Caspian Burrell and Laura Ilona are the Lead Teachers guiding this training.
They are both professional yoga teachers, with backgrounds in martial arts, and are incredibly skilled and passionate when it comes to Acroyoga.
Caspian is the founder of AcroSpirit and his aim in teaching is to introduce this practice to more people, and pass on the many benefits and joys it has brought into his life, to others.

THE COURSE
We have carefully crafted and developed this training to guarantee that you’ll walk away with a solid foundation in your Acroyoga practice.
The content we have selected is designed to teach you the foundational techniques of all the different aspects of Acroyoga. As well as sharing the non-physical skills this practice will unlock for you.
WE FOCUS ON:

Teaching and practicing supportive and positive communication.

Teaching correct alignment and technique.

Practicing all roles (base, flyer, spotter) in Acroyoga.

Safety and the art of good spotting.

L-base Acroyoga Poses, Therapeutic Acroyoga Poses, Acroyoga Theory, Handstands, Thai Yoga Massage.
PLEASE NOTE:
This is NOT a full Acroyoga Teacher Training. This training is focussed on giving you the foundations and theory for a great acroyoga practice and provides continued education for certified yoga teachers.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Every day will start with warm ups and prehab to train fundamental movements in our bodies and prepare you for the rest of the day’s activities.
The handstand classes will give you the most valuable exercises, tips and techniques to improve your handstands and inversions.
During the L-Base Acroyoga classes you will learn and practice in detail several Acroyoga poses and transitions.
Several theory classes are scheduled throughout, providing valuable knowledge about communication, consent, training partnerships, injuries and much more.
Late afternoon and evenings are mostly dedicated to the therapeutic side of Acroyoga. Designed to teach you to give and receive both Acroyoga therapeutics and Thai Yoga massage.
All the content is created to deliver the most all round and valuable acroyoga experience.

CERTIFICATION
As part of your training, you will be required to demonstrate an Acroyoga sequence or series of poses and movements with your fellow students.
You will have a short written examination focussed on techniques, alignment, and Acro theory topics such as safety, communication, and anatomy.
Successful graduates of the course will receive a certification of completion which is accredited as 50hrs continued education credits with Yoga Alliance.
We believe that whether your intention is to eventually teach Acro, to become more advanced in Acroyoga, or just to deepen your connection, communication and friendships. This training and experience will allow you to unlock all of that and more!
EXPERIENCE LEVEL
This training is open to, and suitable for students of all levels, even those with NO previous experience in Acroyoga.
Beginners and Intermediate Acroyogis will be able to learn a lot from this training, as we dive deep into alignment, techniques, refining the basics, and also giving focus to communication, training partnerships and safety skills.
If you have never done Acroyoga before, this course is perfect for you as we teach from the basics up. We do recommend at least having some kind of movement practice. Such as Yoga, or any sports practice to help you get the most out of this training.
If you are more experienced and looking for a more advanced acroyoga training, then check out our Level 2 acroyoga training program instead.

We welcome all nationalities and languages, and Acroyoga is a practice that uses non-verbal communication too!
But please be aware that all our course materials and lessons are delivered in clear and easy to understand spoken and written English.

You can choose each day from an incredible tasty selection of local indonesian cuisine, but with western infusions and options too.

If you wish to stay at the Resort Location - Om Ham Retreat where we will hold the training, beautiful luxury rooms are available to book.
All rooms come with ensuite showers, air conditioning and a modern clean style, with double bed or twin bed options if you wish to share.
