FREE Acroyoga Training SCHOLARSHIP!

We have launched our AcroSpirit Scholarship Program!

We are very excited to announce the launch of the AcroSpirit Scholarship scheme for our training events.

As you probably know we are quite passionate about sharing acro, and making sure we pass this practice on to as many people as possible, because it's such an amazing and transformative practice!

And it's been our intention for a while to set up some kind of scholarship system to help support and bring people into acroyoga who maybe can't afford it, or don't have the same opportunities as others.

And so we finally got our butts in gear and put this Scholarship scheme together.

The idea is pretty simple, we give 1 full scholarship for each level 1 training that we run.

People who would like to join a training, but can't financially afford to, or are from a less privileged background or situation and might struggle to afford to travel and take a training can now apply and potentially receive this scholarship.

The scholarship would grant 1 free level 1 training.

We chose the level 1 as it is suitable for complete beginners, and can therefore help kickstart someones acro journey/practice, or help them bring the practice back to their hometown or start a new community off with great foundations.

The hope is that these individuals will then go spread this practice with others and over time have a ripple effect of sharing to more and more people.

Eventually spreading this practice further and further and especially to people/communities who otherwise just wouldn't be able to access acro.

In all honesty we haven't figured out all of the details yet in how we will decide who we grant a scholarship to and who not.

We have an application form on the website, and we are trusting it will be clear from the applications who would benefit most and that we will be able to make a decision by our gut feeling.

Additionally we intend to try to support everyone as best as possible, so who knows if we feel multiple applications really deserve a scholarship then maybe we will make additional spots avaialble or offer them a spot on a future training instead.

On a personal level I (Cas) have to admit that It's really fun to be able to add a little something to our events and offerings that is just a feel good thing.

I have been more motivated to create this scholarship application and get it launched than most other AcroSpirit admin work that I do.

I think this comes a lot from my personal goal or idea that I don't want AcroSpirit to just be about making money and making a living from doing acro, but to make it a force for good also, and I know Laura and Ksenia feel the same way too.

I hope that when we are old and retired we can look back and feel like we did something that had meaning and made a difference, and this is one nice little step in that direction.

So I look forward to seeing the applications come in and hopefully it will be a nice little process before each training we run.

I have one big favour to ask of you though, as we need your help with this...

It's hard for us to know or reach the people who would benefit from a scholarship of this sort, so we would be really grateful if you know of anyone, or any acro community where you could share this to.

Through the big wonderful connected world of acroyoga we believe it will reach the right people.

There honestly is no catch, it's just a free training if they fill in the application and are selected, so having any help in sharing this would be super appreciated.

Here is the brand new page on the website with application form, so feel free to share this link if you have somebody in mind:

Let's finish this email with a nice question to you also, which is do you have any other ideas or ways to give back or contribute to the acro community further?

If yes, we would love to hear them!

We are grateful to be in a position where we now make a living from acro and can potentially help provide other opportunities or support by giving back more to the community too.

So we will definitely consider any good suggestions you have :)

Wishing you a great acro week. Peace out!

Cas
